Tony and Stacy Avila are living the dream life in their dream home with their four healthy sons and their dog Macy. They purchased the house in rural Oakdale that was built in 2004 about 10 years ago. They have made a few changes to the 2.85-acre ranch style country house.
“This is just a house,” said Stacy. “We just want it to be welcoming to all our friends and family. There are many meaningful things around here that people we know and love helped us build.”
FRONT VIEWThe front door was handpicked by Stacy and the landscape was changed with help from Angela Cardoza from P & L Concrete in Escalon like the potted plants in the entry with olive trees and flowers.
KITCHEN / DINETTEThe kitchen has granite counter tops and alder cabinets that have some nice details in the wood work.
LIVING ROOMThe home features a large open living room with high ceilings that leads into a spacious kitchen with tile floors throughout.
“The perfect Sunday afternoon we would be out here watching football with the family and barbequing”
POOL HOUSE DININGThe open area in their backyard, known as the pool house, has an island for dining, refrigerator, cabinets, storage space, ceiling fans, a fireplace and television. This was the top feature of the home for the couple that they both loved. They have made many memories in the pool house and it is one of their favorite places to be at their home.
“The perfect Sunday afternoon we would be out here watching football with the family and barbequing,” added Tony. “This is the gather spot. This is it.”
GAME ROOMThe Avila’s also have a game room with a pool table, table tennis and a custom-built wine rack attached to the shop along with another bathroom.
GARDEN & PASTURETheir outdoor space features a number of custom creations including the gates, fences, hose reels that Stacy’s father made and adding a horseshoe and the letter ‘A’ for Avila. They also built a shop where Tony can engage in wine making, creating his own Limoncello, homemade peppers and zesty pickles with a little spice for all to enjoy.
